About

Tayyab Ali Khan is a postdoctoral scholar with the Emerging Radio Systems Group at the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada. He received the PhD degree in electrical engineering from the City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, and the MSc degree in information and communication engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China.

His current research focuses on the design, development and experimental validation of active phased-array antenna systems, with particular emphasis on modelling and extrapolation techniques for predicting the performance of large-scale phased arrays from smaller array configurations. His research also includes the development of true-time-delay architectures for broadband beamforming and beam-steering applications. His broader interests encompass the design and integration of metasurfaces for advanced antenna and wireless communication systems.

He serves as a reviewer for several international journals in microwave engineering, antennas and wireless systems, including IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques and IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation.
