About
Tom Chiu received the BASc degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada, in 2025, where he is currently pursuing the MASc degree in electrical and computer engineering with the Emerging Radio Systems Group.
His current research focuses on enabling wide-bandwidth data transmission and beam-squint mitigation in massive MIMO phased arrays, through the development of true time delay (TTD) units and measurement- and physics-informed simulation. He is also involved in the power architecture and design of MIMO phased arrays, and in machine learning based design methodologies for RF and mixed-signal circuits.
