The Waterloo Handmade Charity Market is a student-led fundraising event supporting the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society, where Waterloo students sell handmade items like crafts, art, and jewelry. Vendors contribute a $20 booth fee, with 100% of the proceeds donated to KWHS, and visitors who donate $1 or more receive a printed photo or postcard of an adoptable animal. The event aims to create a welcoming campus atmosphere that promotes animal welfare while showcasing student creativity.

The Antagonism and Intimidation in Academia Speaker Series 2.0 is hosting its final panel session on Monday, January 12, 2026. This January event will focus on issues related to free speech, hate speech laws, and freedom of expression within and beyond university environments.
International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) occurs every year on December 3rd and aims to “promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.” The day was proclaimed in 1992 by the United Nations and continues to be urgently relevant as communities around the world strive towards sustainability, equity, and inclusion.
