Talking to young children (age 0-6) about consent.

This virtual session will discuss and answer questions about the importance of talking to young children about consent, setting boundaries, and using the proper names for body parts to help build a culture of respect and consent.

Bystander Intervention Training is one way the Sexual Violence Prevention & Response Office (SVPRO) is helping to build consent culture on our campus. Participants will be provided with the skills and resources to intervene when they see harmful, or potentially harmful, behaviour which includes sexual violence, as well as other forms of harm.

As part of the Menstrual Equity project at UWaterloo, we will be providing free reusable and sustainable menstrual products to students, faculty and staff on June 21 from 10am – 3pm. Join transgender therapist and educator, Washington Silk (they/them), as they talk about menstruation and trans folks! In this special Pride Month edition of our Menstrual Equity Lunch and Learn series we’ll learn more about the complex relationship between menstruation and trans bodies.
