Watch 10 promising student teams take the virtual stage and compete for their share of $20K in grant funding to help take startup ideas to the next level. Join Luca Dellantonio, a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Waterloo’s Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC), in conversation with scientific outreach manager John Donohue. They’ll discuss his latest journal article entitled A measurement-based variational quantum eigensolver published in Physical Review Letters on June 4.

Each month, led by a member of our campus community, a book from the President's Anti-racism Task Force's (PART) carefully curated list will be reviewed and discussed. The book that will be discussed is "21 Things You May Not Know About the Indian Act: Helping Canadians Make Reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples a Reality" by Bob Joseph.

In September, Professor Frankie Condon, who has conducted extensive research in anti-racism rhetoric and anti-racism pedagogy, will lead the discussion of Robin DiAngelo’s, White Fragility (2018), the New York Times bestseller that gained international prominence in the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd in the US.

Maawanji-idiwag (They come together): Institutional Approaches to Decolonizing Curricula is a virtual discussion, where a panel of academics and practitioners experienced in theoretical decolonization and who have taken concrete steps and actions to decolonize curricula in their respective institutions will discuss opportunities and challenges for institutional approaches and practices to decolonize curricula.

Starting January 27, 2021 and continuing through to March 24, recitals and interviews with professional musicians filmed specifically for our Noon Hour Concert series will premiere on the Grebel Youtube Channel at 12:30PM most Wednesdays. The series is free, and no registration is required.

As a member of the Mennonite Song and Worship Committee, Anneli Loepp Thiessen has spent the past four years helping to choose hymns for the new "Voices Together" Hymnal.  Sifting through over 10,000 pieces of music, the committee chose 775 finalists.
