From July 28-29, the Sustainability Office will be hosting the first ever UWaterloo campus-wide BioBlitz: a community-led effort to identify and record all the species in a particular area.

Three students making observations in nature. From Friday to Saturday, experts will be leading guided walks to identify specific plant and animal species on main campus. Meeting locations of specific events will be posted by July 21. Individuals and small groups can also identify species independently.

We welcome all members of the UWaterloo community - students, staff, faculty, family, and friends - to join us!

The top 3 people who make the most observations on iNaturalist in the "BioBlitz Project" during the BioBlitz (July 28, 3 pm - July 29, 3 pm) will win prizes!

This event was funded by the Sustainability Action Fund.
