National Indigenous People's Day

Come join us on June 20th to celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day! Start the day off with snacks and coffee generously donated from @starbuckscanada.

We will have a ceremonial fire and Knowledge Keeper Myeengun Henry will be providing a teaching on the Eagle Feather and it’s significance. We will then restore our ceremonial grounds by laying gravel; to follow we will be planting Tobacco.

Everyone is welcome to bring their drum!

Lunch will be provided at 12 p.m.

You are welcome to join us in walking over afterwards to the health field to attend the Faculty of Health Commitment Ceremony at 1:00 pm.

WISC spaces are zero tolerance for hate and discrimination. The ceremonial firegrounds are a sacred place therefore, alcohol and drug use is not permitted.
