World Fuel Cell Conference (WFCC) is established under the auspice of the International Association for Hydrogen Energy (IAHE) as an umbrella organization to lead and coordinate the information dissemination related to hydrogen and fuel cell R&D activities, development, advancement and education. The conference is organized by IAHE Fuel Cell Division, hosted by the Waterloo Institute for Nanotechnology (WIN) and the Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (CHFCA).

Each month, led by a member of our campus community, a book from the President's Anti-racism Task Force's (PART) carefully curated list will be reviewed and discussed. The book that will be discussed is "21 Things You May Not Know About the Indian Act: Helping Canadians Make Reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples a Reality" by Bob Joseph.

In September, Professor Frankie Condon, who has conducted extensive research in anti-racism rhetoric and anti-racism pedagogy, will lead the discussion of Robin DiAngelo’s, White Fragility (2018), the New York Times bestseller that gained international prominence in the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd in the US.

Maawanji-idiwag (They come together): Institutional Approaches to Decolonizing Curricula is a virtual discussion, where a panel of academics and practitioners experienced in theoretical decolonization and who have taken concrete steps and actions to decolonize curricula in their respective institutions will discuss opportunities and challenges for institutional approaches and practices to decolonize curricula.

UW Fine Arts and UWAG are proud to co-present the first of our annual MFA Thesis exhibitions. "We will lose our beloveds — ما عزیزانمان را از دست خواهیم داد" is a body of interdisciplinary works which uses feminist autotheory to transcribe lived experience under the Iranian theocracy. The works highlight the complexities of migration: what self-exile feels like, along with my connection to the greater Iranian diaspora after moving to Canada in 2018.
