Maawanji-idiwag (They come together): Institutional Approaches to Decolonizing Curricula is a virtual discussion, where a panel of academics and practitioners experienced in theoretical decolonization and who have taken concrete steps and actions to decolonize curricula in their respective institutions will discuss opportunities and challenges for institutional approaches and practices to decolonize curricula.

UW Fine Arts and UWAG are proud to co-present the first of our annual MFA Thesis exhibitions. "We will lose our beloveds — ما عزیزانمان را از دست خواهیم داد" is a body of interdisciplinary works which uses feminist autotheory to transcribe lived experience under the Iranian theocracy. The works highlight the complexities of migration: what self-exile feels like, along with my connection to the greater Iranian diaspora after moving to Canada in 2018.

As part of the Water Institute's WaterLeadership training series, the Water Institute, presents, "Media 101 - Tips for Engaging with the Media” with Pamela Smyth, media relations manager for the University.

Starting January 27, 2021 and continuing through to March 24, recitals and interviews with professional musicians filmed specifically for our Noon Hour Concert series will premiere on the Grebel Youtube Channel at 12:30PM most Wednesdays. The series is free, and no registration is required.

As a member of the Mennonite Song and Worship Committee, Anneli Loepp Thiessen has spent the past four years helping to choose hymns for the new "Voices Together" Hymnal.  Sifting through over 10,000 pieces of music, the committee chose 775 finalists.  

This concert is a collaboration between mezzo-soprano Michelle Lafferty and Pianist Kimly Mengyin Wan.  The premiere will be released on February 3 and will continue to be available on the Grebel You-tube Channel.
