Knowledge Integration Seminar: The Interdisciplinary nature of Technical Sales

At an eCommerce startup, the nature of the business means we work with retailers from various industries/ verticals and the ability to speak their language(s) can be critical in growing relationships and earning their business. In this talk, I would like to discuss how my background in KI has enabled me in creating solutions, delivering demos, and having meetings that prospects can resonate really well with.

There's growing awareness of the lack of diversity in science and the presence of barriers to inclusion. This presentation will focus on ideas to challenge the status quo – actions to advance equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).

Research Talks, a public event and panel discussion, will take place on Tuesday, October 25th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Abe Erb, Uptown Waterloo, 15 King Street South, Waterloo. The event, “Changing health disparities: Affording people in our community fair and equitable opportunities to be healthy,” will feature several panelists who will explore factors that influence our health in positive and negative ways, and how we can, as a city and community, work to reduce health inequities for people in our region.

From fitbits to scented candles to reminders to “treat yourself!” womxn and nonbinary folks are constantly being reminded to take time for “self-care.” W3+ (Waterloo Womxn + Nonbinary Wednesdays) is a community of womxn and nonbinary grad students, post-docs, staff, and faculty that meets on the last Wednesday of the month.
