Finding library materials: helping instructors support students in online classes
The Library has a vast collection of online material available to you and your students, even while we’re all teaching, learning, and working off campus. This session provides a 15-minute overview of where to look for, and how to find, library materials for your classes, plus 15 minutes for your questions.
Each month, led by a member of our campus community, a book from the President's Anti-racism Task Force's (PART) carefully curated list will be reviewed and discussed. The book that will be discussed is "21 Things You May Not Know About the Indian Act: Helping Canadians Make Reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples a Reality" by Bob Joseph.
In September, Professor Frankie Condon, who has conducted extensive research in anti-racism rhetoric and anti-racism pedagogy, will lead the discussion of Robin DiAngelo’s, White Fragility (2018), the New York Times bestseller that gained international prominence in the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd in the US.
