The Engineering Department is hosting an Active Bystander Intervention Training for all Staff, Faculty, Post-docs and current TAs across campus. The Sexual Violence Prevention & Response Office (SVPRO) will be facilitating this training as part of their committment to support all members of the UWaterloo community. 

Eight student-led teams will pitch to a panel of judges in hopes of winning their share of $20,000 for their ambitious idea!

The KAIROS Blanket Exercise (KBE) is an interactive learning experience that examines the historic and contemporary relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in the land we now know as Canada. As a participant, you’ll step on blankets representing the land and into the role of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.

This is a three hour introductory workshop to help staff and faculty develop a sense of accountability and understanding of the pervasive nature of racism within the Institution.

GreenHouse, Transformative Quantum Technologies, and the Quantum Ethics Project are collaborating to host a lunch & learn on the potential intersections between environmental challenges and quantum technology on October 24 from 12:00-1:30pm.

Our workshop will highlight students' identified game program challenges, part of the ADE for Game Communities series by the Games Institute, University of Waterloo, with support from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.

This workshop aims to help students, faculty, and staff understand the historical and contemporary forms of oppression that impact trans and non-binary Black, Indigenous, and racialized identities. 

This mandatory one-hour training is for faculty hiring committee members. It encompasses reviewing standard terms, designing equity-centered recruitment and selection practices, and discussing accountability frameworks for equitable recruitment, selection, and retention.
