Submission of Files to UARC

Submission of Files to the University Appointments Review Committee (UARC)

Department/School

  1. Advise the Dean’s Office that the file is being prepared; give the name of the candidate.
  2. Complete the Summary of Recruiting Efforts for UW Faculty Positions form.
  3. Prepare the Chair’s memo.
  4. Gather the required documents, organizing in the order as listed on the Checklist for UARC File Submission.
  5. Prepare, complete and sign the Checklist for UARC File Submission form and place it at the front of the package. (If anything is missing, hold the file until the list is complete.)
  6. Provide the material to the Dean’s Office.

Dean’s Office

  1. Receive and review the material from the Department/School.
  2. Insert the Dean’s memo.
  3. Complete and sign the Checklist for UARC File Submission. (If anything is missing, contact the Department/School and hold the file until the list is complete.)
  4. Scan the material and upload to the UARC SharePoint site as one file.
  5. Advise the Faculty and Academic Life Officer (AVPFAL) that a new file has been uploaded for review.

Department (After Receipt of UARC Chair's Approval Memo)

  1. Advise the Dean’s Office whether the offer has been accepted.

    13.  Advise the Faculty and Academic Life Officer (AVPFAL) whether the offer has been accepted.
