Institutions of higher learning are environments where professors and students conduct extensive research in the constant pursuit of knowledge, truth, and justice. Unfortunately, it’s also where targeted attacks occur by those who feel threatened by this important work and the impact it has on society.
In a speaker series entitled “Antagonism and Intimidation in Academia," the University of Waterloo looked at why this is happening and what we can do about it. These events were organized jointly by the Faculty of Arts and the Office of Research, and concluded with an international conference to continue the conversation with experts and academics from around the world.
