Fatigue of Spot-welded Magnesium Alloys
The low density of magnesium alloys has made them attractive specially for automotive applications which require ecological contributions by saving of resources, i.e. material and energy. However for a broader use of these materials, a good knowledge of fatigue strength in magnesium alloys weldments is necessary. In this research we’re trying to develop a methodology for estimating fatigue life of spot-welded magnesium alloy (AZ31B-H24), while considering different welding parameters and related residual stresses.
