Who are we?
FemPhys aims to facilitate education, sharing of experiences, and friendships for women, nonbinary individuals, and minoritized people in physics at UWaterloo. We are undergraduate and graduate students in physics and related fields. We are women, men, and nonbinary individuals. We prioritize respectful community and the ability to acknowledge mistakes.
What do we do?
We hold events like weekly Tea & Talk to build supportive community, lectures and discussions to educate and converse about issues relevant to our lives, and Mentoring Night to connect people at many academic and professional levels.

Land Acknowledgement
FemPhys acknowledges that we conduct our activities on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishnaabe, and Haudenosaunee peoples. We acknowledge that the University of Waterloo resides on land designated as part of the Haldimand Treaty tract, and that this land was acquired unfairly. As such, it is part of the responsibility of FemPhys to include efforts towards mitigating the oppression of Indigenous people in our day-to-day activities.
