inclusive
communities
and
support
those
around
us.

shows
that
people
who
are
more
socially
integrated
and
who
experience
more
supportive
and
rewarding
relationships
with
others
have
better
mental
health,
higher
levels
of
subjective
well-being,
and
lower
rates
of
morbidity
and
mortality.
At
the
same
time,
73%
of
UW
students
said
they
"Felt
very
lonely"
within
the
past
12
months,
with
almost
half
of
those
saying
they
had
felt
very
lonely
in
the
past
2
weeks
(2016
NCHA-II
University
of
Waterloo).

These
events
will
strive
to
be
socially
accessible,
meaning
that
social
missteps
will
be
tolerated
and
any
unspoken
rules
will
be
explained.
