At the heart of our efforts is the acceleration of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for peatland and mangrove conservation and restoration. These ecosystems are crucial to Indonesia’s climate adaptation and mitigation strategies. Our initiatives support:

Establishing an NbS Applied Research Center

FINCAPES has helped establish a state-of-the-art NbS applied research center at IPB University. This center is a hub for:

Research and Development: Conducting cutting-edge research to develop and refine NbS techniques and models.

Pilot Projects: Implementing pilot projects in target communities to test and demonstrate the effectiveness of these solutions.
