Isaac Lawther
Isaac completed the Master of Environmental Studies (MES) program in the School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability at the University of Waterloo, in 2016. Isaac Lawther’s research takes place at the intersection of food-politics, and Chinese and African affairs.

Master's Thesis Title: Situating Sino-African agricultural demonstrations in the global food order: Case studies from Rwanda and Uganda

Issac's Master’s research was published in 2017 in Third World Quarterly: Why African countries are interested in building agricultural partnerships with China: Lessons from Rwanda and Uganda.

Isaac is currently a PhD student in the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto where he studies international relations, and the politics of development.
