Taarini Chopra completed the Master of Environmental Studies (MES) program in the Environment and Resources Studies Department at the University of Waterloo in 2013.

Master’s Thesis Title: Agricultural GMOs in India: Dimensions of influence in the politics and policy of Bt cotton and Bt brinjal

Taarini is the publications coordinator at Seeds of Diversity, and a researcher at the Canadian Biotechnology Action Network (CBAN). She sits on the editorial board of Alternatives Journal, and was formerly the co-chair of the Waterloo Region Food Systems Roundtable.

Taarini also holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental Science from Trent University.
