Additional Information

Celia Sagastume is a first-year PhD student in Vision Science at the University of Waterloo, supervised by Dr. Austin Roorda. Their research focuses on nanofabricated waveguide optics for AR/XR applications, with fabrication at the Quantum-Nano Fabrication and Characterization Facility (QNFCF). They are also helping build an adaptive optics scanning laser ophthalmoscope (AOSLO) system in the Roorda Lab, which will be used for upcoming work in novel color perception, foveal mapping, and validation of optical designs.

Celia is currently working on slanted surface-relief grating waveguides for AR/XR applications. Her interests include nanophotonics, retinal imaging, and the integration of advanced optics in consumer products.
