The Hart Lab, led by Dr Sara Hart, is a research lab specializing in developmental psychology in Canada and the USA. With several past and ongoing research projects integrating theories and methods from developmental psychology, cognitive psychology, education, behavioral genetics and meta science, the Hart Lab actively contributes to understanding how and why people differ in their cognitive development, particularly focusing on reading and math development.
Dr Hart is an award recipient of the prestigious Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) in Developmental Science, where she receives funding to advance research in precision education, a contemporary approach to tailor education to the individual student. Research and data repository efforts are also funded by other reputable grants from the National Institute of Health (NIH), Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) and the National Science Foundation.
