Be a Student Representative on the 2025 Healing Forest Care Team!

Are you a passionate Indigenous student committed to Truth and Reconciliation, environmental sustainability, and fostering community on campus?

The Healing Forest Care Team is seeking two Indigenous student representatives to serve as part of its tri-chair governance model in 2025!

As a Student Representative, you will:

  • Advocate for student engagement with the Healing Forest and ensure student voices are at the heart of its initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between the Care Team and student organizations involved in environmental activism, Indigenization, and wellness.
  • Collaborate on co-creating the Healing Forest’s vision and goals, with a focus on student-led initiatives and learning opportunities.
  • Represent the Healing Forest in both public and institutional settings, amplifying its mission.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Indigenous students (undergraduate or graduate) who have completed the identification verification process through Quest.
  • Passion for reconciliation, environmental justice, and land-based learning.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to fostering student engagement and advocacy within the Healing Forest.
  • Availability for monthly meetings and periodic events.

Compensation:

  • $35 per hour.

  • A 250-word statement outlining your interest in the Healing Forest Care Team and what your hopes are for the Healing Forest.
