Ebosetale Hope Isabu is a Master of Sustainability Management student at the School of Environment, Enterprise, and Development (SEED) in the Faculty of Environment at the University of Waterloo. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from the University of Benin, Nigeria.
Hope's research focuses on net-zero climate action plans in Canadian municipalities. She is specifically exploring the importance of partnerships in the implementation of local climate action plans of French-Canadian municipalities that are considered as strong carbon performers. Her research will help provide insights into partnerships that will be useful to other cities striving to meet their climate mitigation targets.
Hope has over four years of experience in business and has taken certification courses in management. She is the founder of Onlinefrenchedu, a French language education organization that has helped people from all over the world achieve proficiency in French. She is also certified in translation and has taken proficiency examinations in French.
Hope is passionate about teaching and public speaking. She is dedicated to environmental causes, volunteering with Jeunes Volontaires pour l'Environnement and has held managerial roles in several organizations. She is also the founder of the Female Entrepreneurship Summit, a non-profit organization that inspires and trains female entrepreneurs.
