Ashley Hobbs is a co-op student in the Honours Political Science program at the University of Waterloo. She is also pursuing a minor in philosophy and a German diploma. She is interested in policy development and analysis, international relations, the intersection of ethics and politics, and climate policy.
Previously, Ashley has worked in libraries and as a camp counselor for outdoor education programs. She has been active in environmentalism since high school. She graduated in 2020 with an Environment High Skills Major (SHSM) certificate and completed a co-op placement on a mixed permaculture farm.
Ashley is the Communications Officer of the undergraduate Philosophy Society. In her spare time, she can be found hoarding all the Mary Oliver books from the campus libraries, working in her garden, extending her Duolingo streak, or conferring knowledge of local flora upon unsuspecting friends and roommates.
Ashley joined the team in May 2023.
