Objectives and deliverables
Objectives:
-
Determine the current state of GHG emission reduction targets, measurement, monitoring and planning in Canadian municipalities
Deliverables:
- Create a user-friendly, open access database to share data
- Produce reports in year 1 and year 5 outlining current state of climate action in Canada
N-ZAP survey
N-ZAP conducted a Canada-wide survey in the summer of 2023 with the goal to capture the current state of municipal climate action across Canada.
The official survey deadline was September 30th, 2023 but we encourage any Canadian municipalities who would like to become one of N-ZAP's 250 pilot communities to complete the survey here!
By completing this survey, your municipality will:
- Gain access to cutting-edge resources on climate accounting, measurement and collaborative governance produced by the N-ZAP team
- Have the opportunity to join N-ZAP as a pilot city
- Showcase the work and efforts of your community’s climate action in a publicly accessible database
- Have the opportunity to contribute to the climate conversation at a national level
