Together, the network leadership team is advancing the following strategic activities:
- Cross-campus and regional consultations with key stakeholders – who is doing what on campus (and in the broader Waterloo Region) as it relates to esports? We need a map to identify gaps and synergies.
- Develop an esports Community of Practice (CoP)
- Develop grants and funding proposals to support interdisciplinary esports research and teaching initiatives across campus and beyond.
- Develop a suite of interdisciplinary esports undergraduate courses (begin considering the potential for an interdisciplinary minor/major program).
- Continue to foster international collaborations with esports researchers, educators, and institutions across the globe.
- Renovate a space for esports research, recreational participation, and competitions.
- Develop new esports programming efforts for students across campus
- Host esports conferences, events, and competitions
