Teaching and Learning

Teaching/Learning

Our network seeks to advance esports teaching and learning opportunities across campus. Specifically, our network and CoP are collaboratively planning discussions about the development of a suite of interdisciplinary esports undergraduate courses. These courses will position esports as a field of study; as well as an industry/profession. Course content (e.g., learning modules, class activities, and assessments) may connect to disciplinary perspectives described below and be facilitated by instructors with related disciplinary expertise. Our curriculum development activities will examine esports from a variety of pedagogical and theoretical lenses including critical disability studies, gender studies, and social justice. Longer-term, this suite of courses could provide the basis for developing a minor or major undergraduate program in esports; or an esports certificate/microcredential.
