The principal of the University of Strathclyde Sir Jim McDonald and president of the University of Waterloo, Dr. Feridun Hamdullahpur, invite paper/abstract submissions for the first virtual research colloquium. The colloquium will provide an interactive space for graduate students from each University to present to international schola rs in the field.
Graduate students will receive constructive feedback from international scholars and will also be offered an opportunity to be part of international research clusters that enhance research collaborations between the two institutes. The colloquium is for graduate students at any stage in their journey. Both presidents have committed to the possibility of funding post-doctoral fellowship opportunities to keep collaborations going.
There will be up to $500 awards for the best papers.

Features
Participation in a research paper presentation where students communicate their research in 10-20 minutes, followed by 10-15 minutes of discussion and feedback.
Submission Format
The length of each submission should be a minimum of 500 words and a maximum of 750 words. The cover page and references are not included in the word limit. The cover page includes the title of the paper as well as names, complete addresses, phone numbers, and emails of all authors. All submissions must be written in English in Microsoft Word (version 2003 or later) format. Submissions are to be directed to ishari.waduwara-jayabahu@uwaterloo.ca.
