Canadian ambassador to Brazil and representatives from Global Affairs Canada discuss Canada-Brazil relations

Ambassador of Canada to Brazil, H.E. Jennifer May, and trade commissioners from Global Affairs Canada–Waterloo Office, Sonia Hukil, and Syed Sameer, met with University of Waterloo officials for discussions on Canada-Brazil relations in higher education. The agenda included topics such as co-op education, institutional and industry partnerships, research collaboration, innovation, entrepreneurship, and student relations. With over 250 co-publications between Waterloo members and individuals based at institutions in Brazil in the last five years, a substantial amount of joint research activity, numerous international students from Brazil, and a healthy alumni presence, Brazil will continue to be an important partner for the University of Waterloo.
