Waterloo International Celebrates IWD2019

Monday, March 11, 2019

Waterloo International was proud to celebrate International Women's Day this year but hosting a table at the University's annual "International Women's Day Dinner 2019" at Federation Hall. We were happy to share the table with several of our campus partners; women leaders, stewards, and trailblazers of female international experience at the University.

The meal was superb and we enjoyed sharing this evening with a room full of inspirational women. What a great way to celebrate #IWD2019!

The Distinguished guest speaker was Anita T. Layton, Canada 150 Research Chair in Mathematical Biology and Medicine, Professor of Applied Mathematics and Pharmacy, and Research Diversity and Equity Council Chair, University of Waterloo. Guests also enjoyed a special video greeting from University of Waterloo Professor, Donna Strickland, winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics 2018.
