Dr. Annika Hillebrandt

Dr. Annika Hillebrandt

Principal Investigator

Annika is an Assistant Professor in Psychology at the University of Waterloo. She received her MSc and PhD degrees in Management (Organizational Behaviour) from Wilfrid Laurier University and BA Honours degree in Psychology from McGill University. Prior to joining UW, she was an Associate Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University.

Annika is a passionate researcher whose work has been published in top-tier peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Business Ethics, and Human Relations. She also frequently reviews for academic journals and serves on the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and Journal of Business Ethics. She has received numerous academic awards, including top reviewer awards from the Academy of Management Journal (2022), Journal of Organizational Behavior (2023), and Journal of Business Ethics (2024).

Megan Herrewynen

Megan Herrewynen

PhD student

Megan holds a Master of Science in Management (MScM) degree from Toronto Metropolitan University and a BA Honours degree in Psychology from Queen's University.

Megan's Master's thesis, for which she received a Distinguished Thesis Award, examined employees' reactions to ethical transgressions committed by their organization. She has held several academic leadership positions, including President of the MScM Student Association at TRSM and President of the Psychology Department Student Council at Queen's University.

Caitlin Belfiore

PhD student

Caitlin holds a Master of Science in Management (MScM) degree from Toronto Metropolitan University and a BSc Honours degree from the University of Toronto, where she double-majored in Psychology and Sociology.

She has professional experience working as a corporate social analyst and is currently conducting research on (un)ethical behaviour and trust in the workplace.

Esosa received a BSc Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Waterloo. Her current research research examines how organizational transgressions undermine employee well-being and how these harmful outcomes can be mitigated via employee-focused interventions. Prior to entering the Master's program, Esosa completed her undergraduate Honour's thesis under Annika's supervision.
