Congrats to Sumayyah Sokeechand for receiving the 2018 Professor Marilyn Griffith Senior Honours Project Excellence Award for her research in the Katzenback laboratory! Sumayyah's research titled "Characterization of a Rana sylvatica bone marrow cell line" examined the optimal in vitro conditions required to promote growth of a novel bone marrow stromal cell line derived from wood frogs and investigated the susceptibility of the cell line to infection with Frog Virus 3.
