Going Out on ALIMB? Getting Started with Peer Support and MentorshipExport this event to calendar

Wednesday, July 24, 2019 — 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM EDT

A talk from Ali Versluis, Open Education Resources Librarian at the University of Guelph, and co-creator of the Archives, Library, and Information Mentor Base (ALIMB) about getting started with peer support and mentorship. Ali will discuss the importance of mentorship, give an overview of different types of mentorship/peer support models, discuss her mentorship experiences (as both a mentor and a mentee), and share some tips on what makes for good peer support.

Hopefully this will get us started thinking more about how we can shape the LAAUW Support Network to get what we want and need out of it.  By the way – we’ve got six peer supporters listed now – check out their profiles! If you’d like to join submit your information through the LAAUW Support Network survey.
