Welcome to Library Accessibility Services

The Library Accessibility Services web pages are currently undergoing an update. Please update your bookmarks.

The guiding principle for Library Accessibility Services (LAS) is accessibility for all. Central to this principle is that those with needs know their needs best. The LAS team is dedicated to supporting your use of our libraries throughout your journey at the University of Waterloo.

We understand that accessibility needs can be permanent and temporary, physical and cognitive, visible and invisible. We encourage anyone who believes they could benefit from using our accessibility resources, or needs support in using library spaces, to introduce yourself to the LAS team, so we can work together to ensure your time in the library is successful.

If you think LAS can help you with your accessibility needs, please fill out the Library Accessibility Services introduction form so we can get to know you better.

Or, come introduce yourself to LAS staff during office hours in the Adaptive Technology Centre (ATC), a sensory-friendly space dedicated for users with diverse accessibility needs, offering a variety of technologies, amenities, and direct access to LAS staff. We are located on the main floor of the Dana Porter Library in room 251 (at the back and to the right of the main lobby).
