The Librarians and Archivists Employment Handbook (Handbook) applies to all ongoing University of Waterloo Library staff employed in positions that require a master’s degree in library and information science or its educational equivalent. The Handbook provides guidance on University of Waterloo policies and processes as they pertain to the professional development and career advancement of Librarians/Archivists.


Students

Part-time opportunities

Part-time employment opportunities are available at our main branch libraries (Dana Porter and Davis Centre) for full-time registered students. These positions are responsible for working at our circulation desks and conducting collections maintenance duties, such as reshelving library books.
