Danielle Fearon

PhD

Danielle Fearon completed her PhD in Public Health Sciences at the University of Waterloo in October 2023. Her thesis focused on latent classifications of trauma and substance use among individuals receiving psychiatric services in Ontario. Her thesis also explored differences in service utilization and early discharges among the different classifications in inpatient care. Danielle is passionate about the use of administrative datasets, population- and community- based data to assess health system utilization, costs, and performance. Danielle continues to work with the Mental Health and Addictions Policy and Systems Research Group to support research objectives and analyses. 

Prior to beginning the PhD program, she was an analyst at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences where she developed her interest in applied statistics, and coding. Danielle also holds an MSc in Health Studies and Gerontology, and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Waterloo.
