The Microsoft Teams desktop client on Linux will be retired in early December 2022. Those currently using the Teams app on Linux will need to transition to using the new progressive web app (PWA) which is now available or Teams on the web.

The PWA experience for Linux Teams users enables Microsoft to ship the latest Teams features faster to Linux customers and is available on both Edge and Chrome browsers on Linux.

Leveraging either Teams on the web or PWA on Linux will help bridge the gaps that existed between the Teams desktop client on Linux and Windows.
