Upgrading Teams webinar to new version

The new webinar experience, released in 2023, allows for more powerful and controlled registration, additional email capabilities, smooth external presenter capabilities, access control, and so much more! With the move to the new webinar experience, the existing feature of ‘Adding registrations to meetings” (for regular Teams meetings) has been replaced with the new Webinar Experience.

Going forward, any user who wants to create a webinar can do so using the new ‘Webinar’ meeting type. This can be found in the ‘New Meeting’ drop down in Teams Calendar.

Download Town Hall and Webinar Q&As to CSV

Town hall and webinar organizers can download a CSV file of questions and answers posted in Teams Q&A by attendees.

  • Source: Who posted the conversation (organizer or attendee)
  • Type | Conversation type: Discussion, Question, or Reply
  • Identity: Identity of user who engaged in the conversation
  • Time stamp: When the conversation was posted
  • Conversation ID: Unique identifier of the conversation
  • Reply to ID: Reply ID of the conversation in response to a question or a discussion
  • Content: The content of the conversation
  • Reactions: The total number of reactions to the conversation

This feature is available to all Teams users on Desktop and web on PC and Mac.
