Congratulations to project team member Christina Lam for being awarded with the NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarship in 2023 for her Master’s research on methane oxidation in landfill cover soils!
Christina is a Master’s student under the supervision of Fereidoun Rezanezhad and is focusing her Master’s thesis on methane oxidation in landfill cover soils under variable moisture and temperature conditions. Her work is directly contributing to Activity 6 of this project on landfill cover soil methanotrophic enrichments.
The NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarship is awarded to high-calibre scholars who demonstrate a high standard of achievement in their studies.
