Welcome to the Nanophotonics and Integrated Optoelectronics Laboratory

The Nanophotonics and Integrated Optoelectronics laboratory, led by Professor Simarjeet S. Saini, at the University of Waterloo, is where research related to nanophotonics devices, integrated optics, non-linear optics, optical signal processing, biochemical sensors and optical communication systems, is carried out. The goal is to invent platform technologies that improve performance, sensitivity, efficiency of photonics devices in sensing, optical signal processing and communication applications.
