Recent Paper: High Coulombic Efficiency Plating and Stripping of Sodium for High‑Performance Solid‑State Batteries

We are happy to share our latest work published in ACS Energy Letters: "High Coulombic Efficiency Plating and Stripping of Sodium for High‑Performance Solid‑State Batteries." The paper was first authored by group member Vipin Singh.

When it comes to solid-state batteries, good contact at the solid–solid interfaces isn’t just a bonus - it’s essential for efficient charge transfer kinetics. Poor contact at these interfaces creates high interfacial resistance, limiting ion and electron transport, and thus degrading the rate performance and capacity. In this work, we demonstrate highly efficient Na metal plating and stripping by carefully engineering these critical interfaces, showing that the right contact mechanics plays an important role.
