If you come from Buffalo:
- Take the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) North.
- Eventually, leave the QEW for Highway (HWY) 403 in the direction of Hamilton/Brantfort. (Careful: in the short stretch between QEW and HWY 403 there are other directions forking off too).
- After a few minutes, exit HWY 403 to enter Road 6 North in the direction of Guelph.
- Eventually, leave Road 6 to enter HWY 401 West.
- Drive on 401 West until you take exit 278 for HWY 8 North to Kitchener Waterloo.
Note: If you arrive on HWY 401 from the West, take Exit 278B.

Upon exiting HWY 401:
- Take HWY 8 North. It will lead you to the outskirts of Kitchener.
- The HWY 8 forks and you need to stay on the right, so that you will get onto HWY 7 East, which from this point is renamed HWY 85 North.
- Once on HWY 85 keep on the left lanes because the right lanes soon split off and go elsewhere.
- Follow HWY 85 and don't take exit University Avenue East.
- Do take exit University Avenue West.
-
After
a
while
you
will
cross
Weber
street.
- If you are heading for the Comfort Inn, turn left into Weber Street. You will see the Comfort Inn soon after to your left. It's at 190 Weber Street North.
-
Staying
on
University
Avenue
you
will
eventually
cross
the
main

of
Waterloo,
called

- If you are heading for Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics (PI), turn left into King Street South. Soon after the crossing with Bridgeport Street you will see a building with a clock tower to your right, at a corner: that's the former PI building. Turn right at the former PI building and PI is straight ahead: go up hill, cross a road and go down hill. Now cross a road and drive right into the parking lot of PI.
- Staying on University Avenue, you will soon see Wilfrid Laurier University to your left.
-
On
University
Avenue,
you
will
come
to
a
red
light
where
the
street
to
the
right
is
called
Phillip
Street.
- If you are heading for the university plaza of University of Waterloo, turn right after about 40 meters, into the plaza's parking lot.
- Staying on University Avenue, after 100 meters you will cross a railway track, while passing under a pedestrian bridge.
- At the next red light turn right into the university on Seagram Drive, then immediately left and left again into the visitors' parking lot "H".
- If you are heading for the University of Waterloo visitor center: it is right opposite to (i.e. north of) the parking lot, up the steps.

The university's phone number is 519-888-4567.
