We are part of the Environmental and Geophysical Fluid Dynamics (EGFD) group in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Waterloo.
The EGFD group studies the dynamics of oceans, lakes and the atmosphere. Even though they are all quite different, the underlying mathematical structure to describe them is very similar and hence there is ample opportunity for collaborations.
Poulin Research Group, in particular, focuses mainly on physical oceanography, biological oceanography, how they interact and computational methods required to study these problems.
We have many collaborators both in Canada and internationally and are keen to discuss mutual research interests with other researchers.
