President Hamdullahpur, SEED, host resource development summit

President Hamdullahpur on Wednesday served as host of the "Towards Sustainable Partnerships: Canada's Aboriginal Communities and the Resources Sector" summit with the University of Waterloo School of Environment, Enterprise and Development (SEED) in Toronto.

The goal of the event was to identify initiatives to build a more mutually beneficial relationship between Canada's aboriginal communities and primary industries.

Participants included Phil Fontaine, former national chief of the Assembly of First Nations, and the Right Honourable Paul Martin, 21st prime minister of Canada and founder of the Martin Aboriginal Education Initiative.
