Public Lecture: God's Angry Men - God, Country and Christian Conservatives

Monday, April 23, 2018 2:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT (GMT -04:00)

Please join us for this important milestone in the PhD process as Carmen Celestini shares her research, entitled God's Angry Men: God, Country and Christian Conservatives: The National Association of Manufacturers, the John Birch Society, and the Rise of the Christian Right. Focusing on God, Country and Christian Conservatives, this public talk illuminates new research on the rise of the Christian Right from their beginnings with the National Association of Manufacturers and the John Birch Society. In part, this provides a framework to understand the contentious underpinnings of contemporary American political mobilization.

The public presentation allows scholars the opportunity to share their research outside of the university setting, and offers their work up for questions and discussion with a public audience.
