New publication on nature’s role in residential development
RISE team member and PhD candidate Adam Skoyles has co-authored a paper with Principal Investigator Michael Drescher and co-Principal Investigators Dawn Parker and Derek Robinson. The article, titled “Nature’s role in residential development: Identifying leverage points for climate change planning in Ontario, Canada” is published in Urban Forestry & Urban Greening and is available online via open access.
The article is based on interviews conducted with municipal planners and residential developers to assess how stakeholders in residential development consider natural features and climate change in their decisions. Currently, nature-based solutions for addressing climate change are not widely recognized in current development practices.
