Hilda Hadan is a Ph.D. candidate in Systems Design Engineering, collaborating with Dr. Lennart E. Nacke and Dr. Leah Zhang-Kennedy. Her research is centred around deceptive design, which was previously known as dark patterns, in games and game-related technologies, such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR). Beyond her work on deceptive design, Hilda has a keen interest in human-centred research, specifically in the areas of video games, privacy, and cybersecurity. She was awarded the 2023 Games Institute Seed Research Grant for her research on the privacy implication of XR.
