Bill Irwin is an Assistant Professor at Huron University College in the Department of Economics and Business, where he instructs in the area of Management and Organizational Studies. He also instructs Program and Policy Evaluation at University of Western Ontario in the Department of Political Science in the Masters in Public Administration Program. Professor Irwin’s research interests centres on issues of policy, leadership, and community engagement. He is interested in exploring models of program and policy evaluation focused on qualitative evaluation, outcome and impact analysis; with principal interest focused on the interplay between institutions and community.
In addition Professor Irwin develops and delivers professional development workshops in the area of municipal management, for the Association of Municipal Mangers, Clerks, Treasurers of Ontario, and provides consulting services to local municipal governments and public libraries. He has over 20 years of work experience at a managerial level in the public and community sector, prior to returning to the academic community.
