In this section, School Closure Policy Research will endeavour to offer coverage and reviews of the various conferences we attend. Our goal is to share information, new ideas, and varying perspectives from individuals and groups that are interested and in involved in the school closure issue. In doing so, it enables current research and discussion to be disseminated to all, with the intention that it will be applicable in growing the discussion regarding this issue.
To date, there are two conferences for which we have information. The first was a presentation given by Professor Mark Seasons at the Canadian Institute of Planners’ conference in the Spring of 2013, found here. The second was a recently held conference, ‘School in the City, City in the School’, hosted by University of Toronto Schools and Maximum City. A review is accessible here.
